There are so many reasons to choose us; primary among them being is happy, thriving children and families. We believe our Reggio Emilia inspired approach to learning plays a huge role in this. The highly-regarded programme sees children as active participants in creating their own learning environment within a safe indoor/outdoor programme that fosters their well-being and development. Amazing outdoor and indoor spaces
Following our child-centred approach to early childhood education and childcare, we have thoughtfully designed, built and chosen resources that enable children to confidently explore their environment and interact with one another. We have generous outdoor play areas and inspiring interiors. Book a tour to see explore our world.
Sustainable practices
The love for nature is embedded in our child daycare programme through sustainable practices. This includes worm farms, animals/pet programme, compost bins, community gardens, natural play spaces, recycling stations and more. Visit our centre to see our children becoming one with nature.
Regular excursions & nature walk program
Regular excursions for interaction with the community is part of our thoughtfully curated curriculum. Also a big part of our childcare centre’s activities is a nature walk programme. We believe the best learning happens amidst nature. So, come rain or shine, we plan regular nature walks with our children.
Transition to school
While the Regio Emilia approach to learning inherently gears children to become independent learners, our centre also offers a comprehensive transition to school programme that readies your little one for the next big thing in their life – primary school. The programme helps build your child’s confidence, encourages independence and social interaction, and introduces structure into their everyday learning. Everything they’ll be doing at school.
20-hour free for 3-5 year-olds
Quality education and care need not come with a high price tag. Our fees are competitive. We also offer 20-hour free ECE programme and WINZ subsidies. For a limited time, we are also offering a free trial. Centre subsidies are also offered. Contact the centre manager for information on this initiative.
Cooked lunches & a focus on health
We’re passionate about nutritional education. From this early age we inculcate in our children the virtues of healthy eating by serving fresh, nutritious food and encouraging physical activity. Book a tour to find out more.

Parent Feedback
We had been looking around at a few childcare centres in Papakura and Peter Pan ticked all the boxes for us. The teachers are lovely and really down to earth. Love how all parents are kept informed and updated about their kids. This place is neat and tidy and a great location. Thanks Peter Pan we highly recommend you!
Great centre and excellent teachers. Takes good care of children and learning. Thanks to all staff for building a good foundation of my twins.
We researched nearly every daycare in the Papakura and Franklin area, and decided on Peter Pan Daycare in Opaheke/Papakura. We always liked the Montessori type philosophy around education, and we felt this daycare had a similar type of feel and approach. We love that the Centre has so many cultures and each is respected and nurtured. After looking at around 20 daycares, this one really ticked all the boxes for us.
